We are now hiring for our upcoming production of the original musical Thursday's Children. Compnay membersmust be available the following dates:
School Performances:
Tuesday-Thursday, October 19-22 (School Matinees - artists must be available during the day on these dates)
Public Performances:
October 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, 31 and November 6 & 7.
Actor/Singers
No roles currently available. If you would like to be considered for a role in a future project, please e-mail your résumé and headshot to casting@thursdays-children.com. If you have any samples of your vocal/musical-theatre work, feel free to include an audio file or YouTube link.
Musicians
1 keyboard player/accompanist (must be available for rehearsals beginning mid-September)
1 guitar player (acoustic & electric)
1 bass player (electric)
1 percussionist (trap set & congas)
Auditions for Musicians:
Musicians will be auditioned by appointment only. Please e-mail your résumé to casting@thursdays-children.com. If you have any samples of your musical performances, feel free to include an audio file (mp3 or mp4 preferred) or send a link to a YouTube video or a web site with your audio files. If you are performing live in the greater Des Moines area over the summer, please invite us to your gig.
Production Staff
Properties Master: find props for the production, coordinate backstage prop tables, and provide backstage assistance during performances. This is not a huge show for props, although some need to be vinatge 1965.
Sound Board Operator: run sound for the show; need to be able to manage a live mix with multiple voices and instruments. Will train the right person.
Wardrobe: Coordinate costumes duirng the show and help actors with quick changes; some laundry duties. Hair/make-up experience a plus.
All production staff must be availble to attend some rehearsals the week of October 10-15, tech/dress reheearsals October 16-18, plus all pefformances.

All performers and technical staff members will be paid a stipend.
